If the Chinese have there own Chinatown, then why not have a little India here as well. Little India is a riot of colour and especially on Sundays during the big Hindu festivals like the Deepavali and the Thaipusam. The local Indian men and women spend time here shopping for all things Indian. There are lots of pictures of Hindu deities and also the Veeramukaliamman Temple that represents Hinduism. There is also a spice mill at the Thandapani Spice Mill, where you will learn a few things about Indian culinary arts. A restaurant worth checking out in the area is the Komala Vilas Rstaurant. And for some great shopping, join the many shoppers and head off to the Mustafa centre to go bargain hunting, where you will find just about everything for sale under one roof.
