There are over 3 million people living here in Singapore in a small 600 sq. km area. The range of hotels available in the Colonial district would range from luxury 5 and 6 star hotels with great views of the sea, and most of the stars and celebrities would be staying in such hotels that offer great comfort and luxury, with great swimming pools and gymnasiums, your own room servant and some fine restaurants.
There are some less expensive hotels here also, that have swimming pools and fitness centres to boot. Other hotels in this district would overlook the Singapore River and have spa and body therapy clinics, with a jacuzzi etc. Other reasonable priced guesthouses can be found along the busy streets.
